After reading Sue Porter's excellent essays on Christianity on her blog I greatly anticipated reading her first book. I love her down-to-earth take on faith and life and some of that shines through in this Bible commentary. I found myself sometimes skipping over the Bible verses to get to her insights because I enjoyed them so much and only wish she had put more of them into this. She is a very thoughtful and wise writer and she left me hungry for more.I would definitely buy another book by the author.

Just read the free sample. looking forward to having the book in hand as well. Easy to read and well understood.
What a refreshing look at the story we all know so well. It makes the story of Moses relevant by the thoughts that SueAnn interjects often with humor. This book is for non believers to all levels of christians because we can all identify with struggles of life.
The only thing I do not like is it isn't in regular book format!
Great explanation of the book of Exodus and the journey of Moses and the Israelite's out of slavery, lead by the God who saved them! Well worth the read! Great study tool!
